HISTORY OF ALLIED MOBILE X-RAY |
Allied Mobile X-Ray was founded in the summer of 1986. Aaron Whitman was the son of a prominent Miami Geriatric Doctor who ,on occasion, would make a few extra bucks between college classes performing Electrocardiograms on his Father's Nursing Home patients. Aaron always noticed this mobile x-ray van outside some of the facilities and after some research, learned that there was only one company in all of Miami performing this service. Surely there had to be room for a little competition. Aaron's long time high school friend, Eric Amar helped put things together and on March 17, 1987, Allied Mobile X-Ray performed it's first x-ray examination. We started out like the other company, by developing our films right in the back of our vans and hauling smelly chemicals around with us. The occasional traffic accident was not a pretty site.
Over the years, we refined our techniques and practices into what has become one of the most efficiently run mobile diagnostic service companies in existence. Now, other companies follow our lead in the way things are done and new up and comers look to use our ideas and designs to try to break into the industry.
Along the way, Aaron and Eric met a genuinely charismatic character by the name of Dion Sena. Dion was the type of guy that could walk into a room full of complete strangers and have every one of them acting as if they have known him their whole lives. In addition to his natural electric personality, he was a major player in the South Florida long term care industry. He knew everyone and the few that didn't know him were anxious to meet him. Aaron and Eric realized that Dion could give them the one thing they were always missing but could never find, and that was a personal relationship with the Nursing home industry. Long story short, Aaron and Eric made the wise choice of making him a partner in the x-ray business. Yadda, yadda, yadda, bada bing, bada boom, Over 20 years serving the Greater Miami area, and we are still going stronger than ever.
