AMX is now requiring individuals who are ordering exams to answer a brief questionnaire on behalf of the patient who will be receiving the exam. Please inform your staff members who intend to order diagnostic exams to be prepared to answer/submit along with their requests the following questions:
1) Has the resident experienced any flu-like symptoms in the past 15 days, such as FEVER, COUGH, or SHORTNESS OF BREATH?
2) Has the resident been exposed to any person who returned from international travel or a cruise within the last 14 days?
3) Has the resident or other immediate staff been in proximity to persons diagnosed or suspected of having COVID-19?
Any facility, Physician, or HMO, etc. calling in exams will be asked the above questions by our Dispatch and/or Concierge Department. Any and All on-line requests will require the above questions to be answered and submitted via the "Internal Notes" portion of the "Order Tracking" section.
If you suspect that one or more of your patients is infected or may possibly have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus, with or without testing confirmation, please be sure to inform our office to safeguard staff so that necessary guidelines can be followed.
